Why it matters
More than decoration
Packaging decides three things a product page cannot: whether a retail buyer takes the line, whether the range looks like one brand across six SKUs, and whether a marketplace accepts the shipment.
Amazon, for example, requires a suffocation warning on poly bags above a set size, and a scannable barcode at a defined magnification. Getting that wrong is a rejection at the fulfilment centre, not a design problem.
