Plain answer
About CE marking
CE is not a certificate issued by a body. It is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets the applicable directive or regulation, supported by a technical file and, for certain categories, by a notified body assessment.
For supports, the route depends on the claim you make. Marketed as protection against injury at work or in sport, a support falls under the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Marketed as treating a condition, the Medical Device Regulation applies instead. Sold as apparel with no protective or therapeutic claim, neither applies.
The claim on your packaging decides the route. Get that classification in writing from your test lab before you print anything, because retrofitting compliance is expensive.
What we send
In the compliance pack
- REACH SVHC test report per material
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate for knitted styles
- BSCI or SEDEX audit summary
- ISO 9001 certificate with scope and validity
- CE declaration of conformity, where applicable
- Cr VI and AZO reports for leather and dyed webbing
Certificates are issued to the production site that runs your order, not to a trading office — so the scope on the document matches the factory you are buying from. Documents are watermarked for review; full copies are released with the quote.
